Presentación y composición:
100 comprimidos de 500mg, 35 mg gluconato de zinc (5mg de Zinc - 50% CDR). Como excipientes, fosfato dicálcico, estearato de magnesio, celulosa microcristalina.
Propiedades:
El zinc es un micronutriente esencial, necesario en la formación de enzimas (fosfatasas, dipeptidasas, deshidrogenasas y carboxipeptidasas), la formación de glóbulos rojos y proteínas; tercero, ayuda en la cicatrización de heridas, en el desarrollo de los órganos sexuales y en el metabolismo cerebral.
La dosis diaria recomendada para un adulto sano es de 15mg, en embarazadas y lactantes, esta dosis sube a 20-25mg. Dosis más elevadas son bien toleradas, pero las deficiencias tienen efectos muy perjudiciales.
Una deficiencia de cinc provoca lesiones en la piel, uñas y cabello (ya que es necesario para la formación de keratina), anomalías en los órganos reproductores, trastornos gastrointestinales, anemia, etc. Una carencia se puede deber a dietas poco equilibradas, la ingesta de sustancias que interfieren en su absorción como: fitatos, fibra, calcio, hierro, cobre, leche y taninos.
Y, por último, diversas enfermedades digestivas y renales, diabetes, cirrosis hepática, y sudoración excesiva que aumenta la pérdida de cinc.
