Vitamina B3 o también conocida como niacina, es una vitamina hidrosoluble que se encuentra en muchos alimentos como algunas carnes, el atún, semillas y champiñones. Esta vitamina estimula el organismo a través de varios procesos, desde la gestión de los niveles de energía hasta la salud de la piel y el equilibrio mental.
Al tomar alimentos ricos en niacina, la probabilidad de que se produzcan efectos secundarios es muy baja. Sin embargo, pueden producirse cuando se toman complementos a dosis altas ya que la cantidad de la vitamina es mayor que cuando se consume con la dieta. El uso habitual de productos que contienen niacina a dosis altas suele provocar efectos secundarios como los sofocos. Esta fórmula especial de niacina en forma de complejo de Solgar no produce este efecto secundario.
